Hi, my name's Chez, how are ya?! I have been a fan of Patsy Cline since my mother bought a PC tape "Today, Tomorrow, & Forever" (the one with her in a cowgirl dress, foot on a barrel) and played it in the car on the way home from shopping, I must have been 4-5 years old (I'm 25 now). I quickly became hooked and played it over and over and over! My mom used this to her advantage; she would bait me with a new PC tape as motivation for getting good grades, chores, etc. I now know all of the lyrics to her songs!
I remember learning about death because of PC. I don't remember what I asked but it must have been along the lines of can we see her sing live or does she still make new songs and she told me the story. It was my first heartbreak.. To have found this incredible person, enchanting music, and learn I'd never be able to see her. I think this is the reason why I am deeply petrified of flying and have never been on a plane!
Even though we will never meet her it is still comforting to embrace her legacy, meet other fans, and discover things about her that you didn't know before. I don't know why I never sought out these forums and lists before! And now it seems that activity here and on TheCline (which I also just joined) has sadly dwindled dramatically.
I started reading TheCline the other night at post 1 and am currently in the 400's, thanks to my phone and being able to read it almost anywhere when theres nothing else going on LOL. I couldn't believe there are posts from Patsys daughter Julie! Does anyone know if she still posts there at all?
I think Ive taken enough of your time! Thanks for reading, and I'm looking forward to talking with you all here!
