www.theboot.com/2010/01/14/patsy-cline-boulevard/She is one of Nashville's most legendary singers, one of the most acclaimed female vocalists of the 20th century. But Patsy Cline's life was cut tragically short at the young age of 30 -- at the height of her career -- in a 1963 plane crash. Today, 47 years later, the city planning commission in Nashville has approved a proposal to name a street after the late songbird on Music Row. Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports that the plan is to change what is now Music Square East -- between Grand Avenue and Buddy Killen Circle -- to Patsy Cline Boulevard. On Jan. 19, an ordinance will go up before the city council -- one of three readings it will take to earn official approval.
