I didn't have the chance to get on the computer yesterday but Patsy was definitely in my thoughts.
I grew up listening to traditional country and it has become a great passion in my life. Patsy Cline stands at the forefront. Her talent is incomparable. She had an amazing talent and wasn't content to be just the "girl singer" she wanted to be the headliner, and she paved the way for future generations. As I learned more about her life I found we had similar childhoods. My dad left when I was young. I had a sister and brother at home, and I worked and sang at events to help my mother make ends meet. So Patsy is a hero to me. She represents strength and hope and she inspires me. She overcame so many obstacles not only professionally, but personally. And despite her own struggles, she had such a giving heart. She never let her own needs keep her from helping others. She was an amazing singer and an amazing person in general. And the icing on the cake is that she led me to the awesome people on this forum who have become family. I've had some great times with great people, all because of our love for Patsy. So for me, Patsy represents love. Because of the love she had for her music, her family and friends, her fans, and those in need. And because of my love for her, her music, and the wonderful family she led me to.
Because of that love, we will move forward!
